An open-loop control system operates without feedback, where the output is not compared to the input. It does not correct any errors that may occur. In contrast, a closed-loop control system uses feedback to compare the output with the desired input, adjusting the system to minimize errors and achieve the desired output. Closed-loop systems are more accurate and stable than open-loop systems.
