Universal grammar is a concept of psycholinguistics. It is a theory proposed by Noam Chomsky that all languages have a common grammatical basis. That is, all languages of the world share a similar set of grammatical principles which comes pre-embedded in our brains from birth. Generative grammar is a concept of syntax.
