The kyat (US: /ˈtʃɑːt/ or /ˈkjɑːt/; Burmese: ကျပ် [tɕaʔ]; ISO 4217 code MMK) is the currency of Myanmar (Burma). The typical notation for the kyat is “K” (singular) and “Ks.” (plural), placed before the numerals followed by “/-“.
