Time dilation is a phenomenon predicted by Einstein’s theory of relativity where time passes at different rates for observers in different frames of reference. For example, time runs slower for an object moving at high speeds relative to a stationary observer, which has been confirmed by experiments with fast-moving particles and clocks.
