Phrasal verbs are combinations of verbs and one or more particles, such as prepositions or adverbs, that together create a new meaning different from the individual meanings of the words. These combinations often change the verb’s original meaning or add nuances to it. For example, “to look up” means to search for information, which is different from the meanings of “look” and “up” individually.
