Ghosting is when someone suddenly cuts off all communication without explanation, leaving the other person wondering what happened. It’s common in online relationships because it’s easier to disappear when you’re not dealing with someone face-to-face. People ghost for various reasons—maybe they’re avoiding confrontation, or they’ve lost interest and don’t know how to say it. While it might seem like an easy way out, ghosting can leave the other person confused and hurt, highlighting how digital communication can sometimes lack the empathy of real-life interactions.
