Geomembrane is a thin, flexible synthetic liner used to control the movement of liquids, gases, or other materials through soil and other surfaces. It is commonly produced from polymers such as HDPE, LDPE, PVC, or similar materials. Because it offers strong resistance to moisture and many chemicals, geomembrane is widely used in ponds, reservoirs, canals, landfills, wastewater facilities, mining areas, and industrial containment systems. Its main purpose is to create a controlled barrier between the contained material and the surrounding ground.
