Chao shou, also known as “Sichuan-style wontons,” are a type of dumpling that is distinctive for its spicy and tangy sauce. The dumplings themselves are typically filled with minced pork or chicken and are often boiled or steamed. The key feature that makes chao shou unique is the accompanying sauce, which is a mix of soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, garlic, and sometimes Sichuan peppercorns.
