CGS and SI are two different systems of units used in physics and engineering:CGS (Centimeter-Gram-Second):Length: The unit of length in CGS is the centimeter (cm).Mass: The unit of mass in CGS is the gram (g).Time: The unit of time in CGS is the second (s).CGS is characterized by smaller base units compared to SI, which can sometimes lead to more convenient numerical values in certain scientific calculations. However, it is less commonly used today compared to SI.SI (International System of Units):Length: The unit of length in SI is the meter (m).Mass: The unit of mass in SI is the kilogram (kg).Time: The unit of time in SI is the second (s).SI is the modern form of the metric system and is widely used in scientific and everyday contexts globally. It provides a coherent system of units that are internationally recognized and standardized. Both CGS and SI systems have their advantages and historical significance, but SI has become the preferred system in most scientific disciplines due to its simplicity, coherence, and global acceptance.
