A Sticky Intent in Android is a type of Intent used to broadcast a message that can be retrieved even after the broadcast has completed. When a Sticky Intent is sent, it remains in the system’s memory, allowing any new Broadcast Receivers that register for that Intent to access the last data sent.
Key Characteristics:
Persistent Data: Sticky Intents keep the last broadcast data available until a new Sticky Intent of the same action is sent.
Usage: Often used for system events or information that may be needed later, such as battery status or location updates.
Broadcast Receivers: They can access the latest Sticky Intent data even if they weren’t active when the Intent was originally sent.
