A color Doppler ultrasound is a specialized imaging technique used to evaluate blood flow through blood vessels, including arteries and veins. Unlike a standard ultrasound, which produces images of internal structures using sound waves, a color Doppler adds color to the image to visualize the movement of blood. This helps in detecting blockages, clots, narrowing of vessels, and reduced blood flow in real-time.
