Being “smarter” than a machine means having abilities that go beyond what machines can do, such as nuanced understanding, creativity, and emotional intelligence. Humans excel at complex problem-solving and adapting to new, unpredictable situations, while machines are limited to their programming and data. We also possess the capacity for empathy and moral reasoning, which machines can’t replicate. Essentially, it’s about the depth and breadth of cognitive and emotional capabilities that machines currently can’t match.
