Technophobia refers to the fear or aversion to technology, particularly advanced or complex devices, machines, or systems. It is a specific phobia that can manifest as anxiety or discomfort when using or even thinking about technology. Technophobia can be related to a fear of not understanding how technology works, fear of technology taking over human jobs, fear of losing privacy due to technology, or fear of technology causing harm or malfunctioning.
Technophobia is an overwhelming fear of technology. People with technophobia may fear computers, cell phones or the powers of artificial intelligence. It is most common in older adults and people who are generally anxious about the future.
