By building and programming robots, students can learn how technology, engineering, coding, and problem-solving work together. They can learn how to plan a design, assemble components, write and test programs, and use sensors or motors to make a robot perform specific tasks.
Robotics also gives students opportunities to troubleshoot when something does not work as expected. They learn to identify problems, test different solutions, make adjustments, and improve their designs.
Along the way, students can develop logical thinking, creativity, critical thinking, coding skills, teamwork, communication, and persistence. More importantly, robotics provides a practical way for students to apply STEM concepts while creating and testing something of their own.
