The three main types of plant tissues are dermal tissue, which forms the outer protective covering of the plant; vascular tissue, which transports water, nutrients, and sugars throughout the plant; and ground tissue, which fills the space between the dermal and vascular tissues and performs various functions such as photosynthesis, storage, and support.
