Steam turbines are machines that convert thermal energy from steam into mechanical energy, which is then used to generate electricity or power various industrial operations. During my time at NCON Turbines, I’ve seen how these turbines continue to play a crucial role in industries such as power generation, oil and gas, and manufacturing. Despite new technologies emerging, steam turbines are still widely used due to their efficiency, durability, and ability to handle large-scale energy demands. It’s been rewarding to work with these turbines and witness their evolution, as they remain integral to the energy sector and industrial systems today.
