Saif Ali Khan, often hailed as one of Bollywood’s most versatile actors, has had a career marked by his willingness to experiment with roles and genres. Despite being born into a filmi family, with his father being veteran actor Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and his mother being veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, Saif faced his fair share of struggles on his path to stardom. His initial foray into Bollywood with films like “Parampara” and “Aashiq Awara” earned him praise for his performances but failed to establish him as a bankable star. However, it was his portrayal of the quintessential romantic hero in films like “Hum Tum” and “Dil Chahta Hai” that catapulted him to overnight fame, earning him the title of “Chhote Nawab” from his legions of fans. Despite subsequent setbacks in his career, including a string of box office flops and personal controversies, Saif’s dedication to his craft and his ability to effortlessly transition between commercial entertainers and art-house films have remained undiminished. Today, he is regarded as one of Bollywood’s most talented actors, with a string of critically acclaimed performances to his name.
