The Vinaya and Sutta Pitaka are collections of teachings attributed to Gautama Buddha. They are part of the Tripitaka, or Pali Canon, which is the earliest and most authoritative collection of Buddhist scriptures in the Theravada tradition. The Vinaya Pitaka deals with the rules and regulations for monastic life, while the Sutta Pitaka contains discourses and teachings given by the Buddha.
