The tidal mouth of a river where fresh and saline water gets mixed is known as an Estuary.
An estuary is an area where a freshwater river or stream meets the ocean. Gorge is a narrow valley with steep sides and a river running through it. Archipelago is a group of islands with sea surrounding it. A fold is a bend in the rock strata.
