NTSC, also known as National Television System Committee, is the analog television system in North America, South America, Myanmar, South Korea, Taiwan, Brunei Darussalam (from 1975-2002), Japan, Philippines, and some Pacific island nations and territories.
NTSC, or National Television Standards Committee, is used in many countries, including:
North and South America
The United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and parts of South America

Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, and some Pacific island nations

NTSC was the first American standard for analog television, published in 1941. A second NTSC standard was adopted in 1953 to support color television broadcasts that were compatible with black-and-white receivers.
