The frequencies used by an antenna or cable to a TV set are called Radio Frequencies (RF). RF frequencies are electromagnetic wave frequencies that range from 3 kilohertz (kHz) to 300 gigahertz (GHz). They are commonly used for communication and broadcasting purposes, including television transmission.

Antenna frequency is the number of cycles of a wave per second, measured in Hertz (Hz). Here are some examples of antenna frequencies:

Radio waves: Operate between 3 kHz and 300 GHz.

Wi-Fi routers: Operate at 2.4 GHz.

FM radios: Operate around 0.1 GHz.

Television antennas: Receive terrestrial broadcast television signals on frequencies from 47 to 250 MHz in the very high frequency (VHF) band, and 470 to 960 MHz in the ultra high frequency (UHF) band.

Cellular networks: Use radio frequencies between 700 MHz and 3600 MHz.

Antenna frequency is important for wireless devices and antennas because they can operate at different frequencies with minimal interference
