The issues identified are poverty and inequality, yet the Actions on Obesity Measures (AOMs) are not directly tackling these main problems. Instead, they are addressing obesity, which could be perceived as sidestepping the core issues. While addressing obesity is important, it may not effectively address the root causes of poverty and inequality. Therefore, it’s argued that AOMs are only superficially addressing the obesity problem and not effectively tackling the underlying issues of poverty and inequality.
