Sciophobia is the irrational fear of shadows. People with this phobia may experience significant anxiety when they see shadows or are in environments where shadows are present, such as dimly lit rooms or outdoors at night. This fear can interfere with daily activities and quality of life, and it can be treated with psychological therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy.
