The Union government is set to release tenders for 3,000 electric buses as part of the PM eBus Sewa scheme, out of the total 10,000 buses planned.
This initiative, approved by the Cabinet in August, aims to integrate 10,000 electric buses into the public transportation systems of 169 eligible cities. The scheme will cover cities of 3 lakh and above population as per census 2011.
