Ozone layer lies in Stratosphere
The ozone layer lies within the Earth’s atmosphere. Specifically, it is found in the stratosphere, a layer of the atmosphere that extends from about 10 to 50 kilometers (6 to 31 miles) above the Earth’s surface. The ozone layer is crucial for filtering out a significant portion of the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which is harmful to living organisms.
