In Excel, pressing Ctrl + D copies the contents of the cell or cells in the topmost row of the selected range down into the cells below. For example, if you have a value or formula in cell A1 and select the range A1
, pressing Ctrl + D will fill cells A2 through A5 with the contents of A1. It’s a quick way to duplicate data or formulas downward.
