Jhum cultivation is one of the oldest cultivation practices of India. Jhum cultivation is generally practiced in the north eastern state of India like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Tripura, Meghalaya etc.It is generally practiced on the hilly and slope regions. The farmers are who involved in such cultivation is called Jhumia.
