While physical postures, known as asanas, are a prominent aspect of yoga practice, yoga is much more than just stretching and contorting the body. At its essence, yoga is a holistic system of self-realization that encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions.
Physical postures (asanas) are a means of preparing the body for meditation and promoting physical health and well-being. Through the practice of asanas, individuals develop strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination while releasing tension and improving posture.
