Yes, currently, both scientists and clinicians are exploring the potential of regenerative medicine against autism. The target is development of personalized treatment based on an individual’s need, such as difficulty in communication or inability to socialize. However, one must understand that stem cell therapy is at an early stage of application and is not recognized as a standard treatment for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Currently, the research is focused on how stem cells’ cellular communication, regeneration and support boost the body’s natural repair mechanism. Stem cells possess a unique quality of paracrine signalling that influences factors such as inflammation and immune responses.
