If the civil contractor does the various projects at a different state, do they need to register in all states, or it's sufficient to register only at the head office?

If the civil contractor does the various projects at a different state, do they need to register in all states, or it's sufficient to register only at the head office?

    If contractor is willing to have a place of business in a state where he is supplying his services in respect of a contract, then only he is required to get registered in such state, otherwise he can provide such service as inter-state supply and can charge IGST on the same.

    A supplier of service will have to register at the location from where he is supplying services.
