Using the MAX() function. Otherwise, in many SQL versions, we can use the following syntax:
SELECT id
FROM table_name
ORDER BY id DESC
LIMIT 1;
POWERED BY
or in Microsoft SQL Server:
SELECT TOP 1 id
FROM table_name
ORDER BY id DESC
