Re: Dilution and pH
pH is -log [H+], so when pH is given you can find out the concentration of H+ as well as how many moles of H+ there is. Once you find out moles of H+, you can calculate pH of the original solution by using the equation -log [(H+ moles)/(original solution volume)].
