In various spiritual traditions, there are different beliefs about the number and location of chakras in the human body. However, the most commonly recognized system in Hindu and New Age spirituality identifies seven main chakras along the spine, from the base to the crown. These are:
Root Chakra (Muladhara) – Located at the base of the spine.
Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana) – Located in the lower abdomen, below the navel.
Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) – Located in the upper abdomen, near the stomach area.
Heart Chakra (Anahata) – Located at the center of the chest.
Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) – Located at the throat.
Third Eye Chakra (Ajna) – Located in the forehead, between the eyebrows.
Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) – Located at the top of the head.
These chakras are believed to be energy centers within the body that correspond to different aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Balancing and aligning these chakras is thought to promote overall health and harmony.
