Nuclear power is generated through a process called fission, where uranium-235 atoms are split when they absorb neutrons. This reaction occurs in a reactor core. The heat produced from fission heats water in the reactor, creating steam. This steam drives turbines connected to generators, producing electricity. The entire process is contained within a highly controlled environment to ensure safety.
