Regular exercise is an important component of PCOD management, as it can help improve insulin sensitivity, promote weight loss, and regulate menstrual cycles. Exercise helps lower blood sugar levels and reduce insulin resistance, thereby addressing one of the underlying causes of PCOD. Aerobic exercises such as brisk walking, jogging, cycling, or swimming are particularly effective in improving cardiovascular health and aiding weight loss. Strength training exercises can also be beneficial in building lean muscle mass and increasing metabolism. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity activity per week, along with muscle-strengthening activities on two or more days per week, as recommended by health guidelines.
