Birds cope with extreme weather conditions by seeking shelter, adjusting their behavior and metabolism, fluffing up their feathers for insulation, and migrating to more suitable habitats if necessary.
Birds have some pretty cool adaptations to cope with extreme weather conditions. During hot weather, they can regulate their body temperature by panting, spreading their wings, or seeking shade. In cold weather, they fluff up their feathers to create an insulating layer and may tuck their feet into their feathers to keep them warm. Some birds even migrate to warmer regions during the winter. They’re like nature’s little weather warriors! 🌤️❄️🐦
