The Industrial Revolution, which began in the late 18th century, drastically transformed European society. It led to urbanization as people moved to cities for factory work, changed social structures with the rise of a new industrial working class, and advanced technological and economic progress. However, it also resulted in harsh working conditions, environmental pollution, and social inequalities.
