Tennis scoring can seem complex at first but is actually quite straightforward. A tennis match is divided into sets, and each set is composed of games. To win a set, a player must win at least six games and have a two-game advantage over their opponent. If the set reaches 6-6, a tiebreaker is usually played to determine the winner of the set. In a tiebreaker, the first player to reach seven points with a two-point advantage wins the tiebreaker and the set. Matches in major tournaments are usually best-of-five sets for men and best-of-three sets for women.
