    Suptisree Biswas Knowledge Contributor
    Added an answer on July 17, 2024 at 8:10 pm

    (A + B)'s 1 day's work - A's 1 day's work = 1/18 - 1/36 = (2 - 1)/36 = 1/36 B alone will do the work in 36 days. Answer: B alone will do the work in 36 days.

    (A + B)’s 1 day’s work – A’s 1 day’s work
    = 1/18 – 1/36
    = (2 – 1)/36
    = 1/36
    B alone will do the work in 36 days.

    A man covered a distance of 12, km in 90 minutes by cycle. How much distance will he cover in 3 hours if he rides the cycle in 3 hours if he rides the cycle at a uniform speed?

    Suptisree Biswas
    Suptisree Biswas Knowledge Contributor
    Added an answer on July 17, 2024 at 8:05 pm

    Time = 90 minutes = 3/2 hours Speed of cycle = Distance/Time = 12/(3/2) = 12 × 2/3 = 8 km/h Distance covered in 3 hours = 3 × 8 = 24 km Answer: He will cover the distance in 3 hours is 24 km.

    Time = 90 minutes
    = 3/2 hours
    Speed of cycle = Distance/Time
    = 12/(3/2)
    = 12 × 2/3
    = 8 km/h
    Distance covered in 3 hours
    = 3 × 8
    = 24 km
    Answer: He will cover the distance in 3 hours is 24 km.
