    Categories of sonar

Sonar systems are divided into different categories, such as:

Active sonar: Sound waves have been created throughout this system in such a way that they propagate out and have been reflected by the target object. Such reflected signals were examined using a receiver.
Passive sonar: Only receivers were indeed employed to assess the reflected wave properties.
The final type of sonar system would be utilized in communication systems, which contain a projector as well as a receiver.
Therefore, animals including bats as well as whales employ this strategy.
