Ethnomethodology is the study of the methods people use for understanding and producing the social order in which they live. It focuses on the everyday methods and practices that individuals employ to make sense of their social worlds. Ethnomethodologists are interested in how people create and maintain social reality through their interactions and how they interpret and make sense of social norms and rules.
