Genetic influences left-handedness, but it’s not entirely genetic; environmental factors also contribute. The genes linked to left-handedness are thought to affect the asymmetry in the brain, leading to a dominant right hemisphere. This brain dominance results in left-handedness in a minority of people, around 10% globally. Interestingly, left-handedness has been associated with creativity and different cognitive patterns, although it’s not without challenges in a right-handed world.
