The first woman to serve as the Chief Justice of a High Court in India was Justice Leila Seth. She became the Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court in 1991. Justice Seth was a trailblazer in the Indian judiciary and made significant contributions to the legal field throughout her career.
