Suresh Raina, the versatile left-handed batsman, holds the distinction of being the first Indian cricketer to score a century in Men’s Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Raina achieved this milestone with his scintillating innings of 101 not out against South Africa in the second T20I of the bilateral series held at the Beausejour Stadium in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia, in May 2010. His explosive batting style and ability to accelerate the innings in the shortest format of the game made him a valuable asset to the Indian T20I team.
