The Father of Geography is often considered to be Eratosthenes. Eratosthenes, a Greek scholar who lived in the 3rd century BCE, made significant contributions to geography, including calculating the circumference of the Earth with remarkable accuracy for his time. He also created one of the earliest known maps of the world and developed the system of latitude and longitude. His work laid the foundation for the field of geography as a systematic discipline.
