Srinagar, located in the Kashmir Valley, has never received the vertical rays of the Sun. This is because Srinagar is located at a high latitude (around 34° N) where the Sun’s rays are never directly overhead at any time of the year. Therefore, Srinagar does not experience the phenomenon of vertical rays of the Sun.
