1. Sweden: Sweden is known for its generous parental leave policies, which include dedicated paternity leave for fathers. Swedish fathers are entitled to up to 90 days of paid paternity leave, which can be taken within the child’s first 18 months.
2. Norway: Norway offers fathers a generous paternity leave allowance as part of its parental leave system. Fathers are entitled to up to 15 weeks of paternity leave, which is paid at 100% of their salary or at a high percentage of their salary.
3. Iceland: Iceland has a progressive approach to parental leave, with both mothers and fathers entitled to dedicated leave. Fathers in Iceland are granted up to three months of non-transferable paternity leave, in addition to shared parental leave.
4.Canada: Canada offers paternity leave through its Employment Insurance (EI) program. Fathers are entitled to up to 5 weeks of paid paternity leave, which can be taken within the first year of their child’s birth or adoption.
5. South Korea: South Korea introduced a mandatory paternity leave policy in 2013 to encourage fathers to take time off work to care for their newborn child. Fathers are entitled to up to 12 weeks of paid paternity leave.
