Koodiyattam (Kutiyattam), meaning “combined acting” in Malayalam, combines Sanskrit theatre performance with elements of traditional Koothu. It is traditionally performed in temple theatres known as Koothambalams. This art form of Kerala is in UNESCO’s list of intangible Cultural heritage of Humanity.
