If a non-liable person registered GST:
1. Apply for cancellation of GST registration through the GST portal.
2. Summit form GST REG-29, which is the application for cancellation of GST registration.
3. Explain the reason for cancellation, including that they are not liable for GST registration.
4. Clear any outstanding GST returns and pay any dues.
5. Receive a cancellation order from the GST authorities.
6. Update their records and notify stakeholders about the cancellation. Example – banks, customers, suppliers.
