There are two main types of cells:

    1. Prokaryotic Cells: Prokaryotic cells are simpler in structure and lack membrane-bound organelles such as a nucleus. They are typically found in bacteria and archaea. Prokaryotic cells have a single circular chromosome and lack membrane-bound organelles like mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum.

    2. Eukaryotic Cells: Eukaryotic cells are more complex and contain membrane-bound organelles, including a nucleus that houses the cell’s DNA. Eukaryotic cells are found in plants, animals, fungi, and protists. They have multiple linear chromosomes and organelles such as mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, and lysosomes.
